Hello,

My name is Ruby Alexandra Beloz. I've dedicated this website to my father's memory and honoring his military service to our country in WW II and in Korea.

I first started building web pages right after my dad (Rosendo F. Beloz) passed away in 1994 of lung cancer.

My Dad served in WW II in Japan and in the Korean Conflict (The Forgotten War) as it was called back then.

Before I redesigned MyDadIsAVet.com the Hit-Counter had well over 40,000 visitors.

I started this website to see if could find some of my Dad’s old Army buddies from the 187th Airborne.

My dad was Paratrooper that served in Japan with the 11th AB during WW II and he also served with the 187th Airborne in Company “C.” in Korea.

I am very please to report back that my mission was accomplished. I got to meet most of my Dad’s old Army buddies by posting a letter in the 187th AB magazine called the “Rakkasan” (It means: Umbrella in the sky in Japanese).

I was able to tell my dad's buddies who my father was and share with them what kind of man he became after he left Japan and Korea.

I began this journey of learning about my Dad’s military service and what it meant to be Paratrooper and an infantry soldier in the Korean War.

How the soldiers survived the snow and how they came home with untreated SHELL SHOCK! (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).

I have met a whole family of friends online that have served our country and are presently serving our country today all over the world.

I started writing poetry about the stories that my father and Veterans would share with me about their experiences in battle and the battle they all faced after the War ended when they came home to their families and society.

When my dad came home from Korea he faced another battle at home where he had to live among the living and his new family, only there were no guns, tanks or bombs just the constant memory of death and the years of tormented silence because real men never complained or talk about what happened to them overseas.

Yes my dad was one of those real men that were not able to get help until the end of the Vietnam WAR.

I also recently started to write some short stories that I am in process of adding them to this site.

I hope you enjoyed your stay here and I thank you for stopping by.

GOD bless AMERICA and Let's Support our TROOPS and now and after the WAR ends.

Sincerely,

Ruby Alexandra Beloz
Proud Daughter Of A WW II and Korean WAR Veteran!
